Educate the Girls, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization
dedicated to helping girls in need receive an education by
helping them pay their school fees and by helping them
overcome the obstacles that keep them from school or cause
them to drop out of school.
Because it's their human right.
Educated women:

* Are less likely to be oppressed or exploited

* Are more likely to participate in the political process

* Have smaller families

* Have healthier, better-educated children

* Are less likely to die from AIDS
113 million children of primary school age are being denied an education;
nearly two-thirds are female.

875 million adults are functionally illiterate; the majority are female.

45.4 million African children are not in school; 24.5 million are girls.

34 of 49 of the least developed countries are in Africa.
